The Ocean Pro (OP) series is Christenson's family of high-performance shortboards. Each model is tuned for a different slice of conditions, so you can pick the right tool whether it is small and weak or solid and overhead. Here is how they line up.
OP1: the high-performance groveler
The OP1 is built for waist- to head-high surf. It carries enough speed and drive to make weaker waves fun while still surfing like a performance board. If most of your sessions are average beach-break days, start here.
OP2: the squash-tail all-rounder
The OP2 is a high-performance squash tail dialed for a wide range, from shoulder-high up to double-overhead. It is the everyday performance shortboard for surfers who want one board that handles most good days.
OP3: the swallow tail
The OP3 is a high-performance swallow tail designed for stomach-high to double-overhead surf. The swallow adds hold and drive, making it a great pick when the waves have more push.
OP4: the round tail
The OP4 is a high-performance round tail for when the surf is on but a true step-up is not quite needed. The round tail draws out turns and holds a steeper face, bridging your everyday shortboard and your step-up.
